Spontaneously took the last email off, so the recap is a week late :-)
Black Friday was pretty smooth sailing here.
I could resist pretty well during my visit to my local drug store and online, too.
The only unplanned thing was a software app I suddenly stumbled upon, and it looked like it solves an occasional and recurring issue, so I grabbed it with that crazy discount.
Funnily, I was browsing Amazon during those days, and stuff on my unsure list was on sale with real discounts, but as my evaluation-decision-making process wasn’t finished yet, I did not get any of those. Just a random book that popped up, and my intuition told me it might help with business, and another one I heard about on a podcast, and was thinking about getting it.
All in all, temptation was low and easy to resist.
The funny things are happening now.
Two in my evaluation-decision-making process finished this week, but all the discounts are gone now.
Now, there’s this feeling of having lost and overpaying.
In one case, it’s just 2 or 3 Euros, but that still feels like overpaying.
Like you get cheated.
And suddenly it’s getting put off again.
Quite a fascinating experience.
And an excellent reminder for me why I don’t do such discounts in my business.
How was yours? Have you had similar experiences?
