22 years ago, I gave my TV away and haven’t owned one since then.
15 years ago, I started to fade out of reading general news.
10 years ago, I stopped with IT-related news.
Had a short phase of Twitter use for business stuff, but that faded out too.
Love TikTok, but stopped using it.
Last week, the YouTube app enforced an update, which I don’t want. So, no update, no YouTube.
Also annoyingly bad in a browser on my mobile.
Might be time to say bye-bye to it, too.
What do these things have in common other than me?
Why am I telling you this anyway?
The answer is simple.
They stopped being good to me.
Some are even a threat to my mental well-being.
And it was time to protect myself and focus on what is good for me. And things I can control and turn into being good for me.
I invite you to do the same. Pause and reflect on your “does it do good for me” and weed them out. Your future self will thank you.
