Change is the only constant in life...

The only fixed thing in life is that change will happen. If we like them or not.

Some try to fight against it but will eventually lose. And sometimes drag many lives down with them or prevent the worst.

Others put their heads into the sand like an ostrich and hope it will go away when they ignore it.

Or they adapt to it and do the best they can do with the new situation.

And a few actually embrace changes and even create them in their lives. And sometimes the lives of others.

I don’t believe any strategy is better than the other. It all depends on the circumstances and what it’s about.

However, I believe it’s important to make this a conscious decision and don’t let yourself be ruled by emotions or even fear.

Although that can be tough sometimes.

One recent change in yours and mines life was that there was no weekly email from me.

I planned to think about how to continue the newsletter and the whole MindfulDevMag thing and before I even could start, I skipped a newsletter and then another one, and yeah, you get the gist.

It wasn’t a conscious decision at all. At some point, my mind decided that other work was more important and it freed itself from the weekly task of writing these emails.

Making room for things it gave a higher priority.

That was a fascinating experience and a superb reminder that if you don’t make decisions consciously, your subconsciousness will make it. If you like it or not.

And if you want changes to work out in your favor, you’d need to get your unconsciousness on your side.

Now those two came to an agreement in my case and that’s the newsletter is changing from weekly emails to an irregular schedule.

I’ll write when when I write. Sometimes it might be a few in a week and other times, it might be quiet for a few weeks. We’ll see.

It totally depends on you and me. Yes, you too. As a reader, you’re the most important part of the newsletter.

If you don’t read it and send replies or otherwise tell me what you think, the newsletter is nothing. It’s just putting words into the void.

Or like writing morning pages where nobody, not even yourself, is reading it ever again. Not that I can read my own hand-writing with those easily anyways :-)

That’s it for today. I wish you a Merry Christmas and a good time with yourself and friends and family.

And an extra big thank you to the few that asked me if everything si ok. Love you guys :-)
