Convenience vs your beliefs

Would your convenience or your beliefs win?

That is a tricky question, especially without any context.

So, let’s add some context.

Remember your superpower from my last email, “How you spend your money and support or not what you believe in.”

Not wanting to support fast food chain A is easy. Just don’t go there and do not buy from them.

But what happens when it’s much harder to do?

Imagine, as a thought experiment, that you dislike how Nestle wants to monopolize water worldwide, and you now have beef with them now.

Easy peasy to avoid?

Nestle is a gigantic corporation with an endless shelf of brands; see the official list here and here as an image with some other corps or this on Wikipedia.

So, now it’s not just the obvious stuff like Nescafe, Nestle, or Nestea anymore, but you gotta skip on KitKat, Smarties, Mövenpick ice cream, Maggi, and even pet food like Purina and Friskies.

It’s getting more challenging.

They are still a large shareholder of L’Oréal with ~20%…

Oops.

Are your beliefs firm enough to include those, too?

Then say goodbye to your cosmetics, too.

And have fun and determination to dig out in which companies they’re invested too.

Updating regularly as brands and investments change all the time.

What do you do if your cat only eats Purina “food”?

Though questions and challenging answers, the deeper you go.

However, it all boils down to a single question.

Will your convenience win or your beliefs?

There’s no right or wrong answer.

Just stuff to think about.
