It’s been 3 years since I’ve been walking my 10k steps daily.
During my vacation, I naturally passed the 20k mark on the first day - I love exploring on foot.
And the next day.
Then I got short and started doing evening walks to pass them.
Which turned into a game of how long can I keep that up without passing a day?
Which was fun.
Until I realized I was still going, even though I told myself it was okay to stop.
It was for reaching the “goal”, not for fun anymore.
Which made me think if the shit I am doing is still helpful to me or not.
Slowly flowing into other areas of my life.
And me skipping my emails for two weeks in a row.
Intentionally, as taking a break and reflecting were more important than keeping some streak… even if it lasted 1.5 years or so.
It’s good to take regular breaks and reflect on why you do what you do, and whether it’s still helpful to you.
And then readjust.
Something I’ll be doing more often now.
You might want to consider it too for your things and life..
