“The most dangerous form of blindness is believing that your perspective is the only reality.”
Says a popular quote, often attributed to Nietzsche.
And it’s true.
I’ve talked about this before, and it’s part of the “Overcome Your Obstacles” series.
Every one of us lives in their own bubble of reality.
Sometimes our bubbles overlap with each other.
Or with reality.
If there is such a thing as one reality. Who knows.
Let’s assume there is.
What you see of that reality from your reality within your bubble can be totally different. Or close enough.
Our bubbles are shaped by our past experiences, past and current emotions, our selves, of how we see us and others, and the outside, and many more things.
And while we may have similarities, the combination of everything is unique.
So, why should we believe that it’s the one and only “reality”?
Quite foolish, don’t you think?
And yet, we are.
But we also have the power within us to lessen that foolishness.
The power of awareness and breathing.
Well-suited to break the foolishness and stop us from acting on that foolishness.
So, next time someone does not agree with your reality, take a few deep breaths before you do anything.
