I’ve been writing about it before. I love reading, but then suddenly get the itch to stop and jump on YouTube or “long ago” on TikTok, and then back to reading. And a few minutes later, back to the other things.
And even when I didn’t want to do anything of it, I just did because nothing else got my ass moving in these situations.
Imagine continuing to read even if you don’t want to 🙃
tried a few things, like using a dedicated book to pick up when I’m in that situation. Didn’t help. Never picked it up.
Get pen and paper and start doodling? Yeah, kinda worked, but opened a new can of worms. Thinking about what to doodle ruined it.
A few weeks ago, it suddenly started to shift.
Not sure if it was my annoyance with it or that I experienced how AI programming sparked some curiosity again, and brought back ideas. Things that I deemed too much of a hassle to bother with before.
Or the realization that just doing something else is better than staying in that state.
Whatever it is, it got me into the “just do it”.
And it helped with work too.
Stop contemplating and just do it.
It’s better than the alternative.
Let’s see where that will take me.
