Do actions follow your

A recent experience with a customer reminded me of one thing and how crucial that is to life.

It taught me a lesson too, but that’s for another time.

The thing is:

Do actions follow your words?

If not, you’re in big trouble, and you might not even know it.

If yes, you’re way ahead of most folks.

This guy wanted a refund for something he bought 3 months ago, and we had an email exchange. Parts of it were him stating things like, paraphrasing here, “I really like your other music and will buy more in the future.” or “I recommend your music, and I already did to xyz”.

And I was reading these parts as “Lie, lie, lie. I don’t believe a damn thing”.

Why?

Because life has taught me that most people don’t follow their words with action and actually do the thing they told me before they would do.

I believe them once they did it.

Or if they have a proven track record of delivering.

But not before anymore.

Because most won’t.

And this is a huge problem for them and the people they’re dealing with. Doesn’t matter if it’s in business or private life.

The other people won’t take them seriously anymore. They won’t trust their words. They won’t trust them anymore. And in the end, they don’t want to have to deal with them anymore.

When business partners don’t deliver on their words, you’ll stop working with them eventually.

Same goes for friends. If you have to deal with an unreliable guy or gal, you’ll stop at some point to have them in your life.

Now, the big question is.

What type are you?

Do you follow up with action after you said something?
